A conch shell and onyx bead ethnic necklace from Nepal This ethnic necklace is strung with round and long conch shell beads and 6.5mm round black onyx beads on a sterling grade silver bar and ring clasp. The central area is strung with seven graduated thick conch shell plaques each with turquoise and coral inlay decoration each plaque is separated by a single black onyx bead. In Tibetan / Nepalese Buddhism the conch shell is one of the “Eight Auspicious Symbols, (“Ba Boa” or “Tashi Tagye”), it’s deep sound when blown is a representation of the voice of Buddha. The necklace is 57 cm long, the largest plaque is 35 x 25 x 12 mm and it weighs 170 gm in total. Ask about our length adjustable extension chain.
