A vintage Amazigh Berber necklace from the Draa valley region, Anti Atlas Mountain region of Morocco. This tribal necklace is made from old African trade beads of various ages including carnelian, coral, copal amber, Venetian millefiori, glass, powder glass, white metal, shell and chalcedony beads. The centre is strung with five large old yellow to orange “African amber,” (old resin), cylindrical disc beads, the largest measures 40 mm in diameter and is 22 mm thick. The necklace is 87 cm long and the goats wool cord is adjustable, it weighs 441 gm.
