This oval shaped sterling grade silver ethnic pendant is called a Gau or amulet or prayer box. It is decorated with turquoise and coral beads and ornate silver wire work and like many Tibetan pendants has a chain bale at the top and one at the bottom for hanging more jewellery. The back opens so you can place your precious item inside. The pendant measures 50 x 35 x 37 (depth) mm and weighs 46 gm.
