A Tibetan conch shell and white metal reversible ethnic pendant. The conch shell is one of the eight sacred Buddhist symbols or “Ba Bao” it’s said to be “the voice of Buddha” and is often used in jewellery. This scalloped edged pendant is set with five shell sections separated by curved lines of turquoise and coral inlay. The back is embossed with a floral design, perhaps a Lotus flower another of the eight sacred Buddhist symbols, it represents purity. The pendnat measures 55 x 45 x 10 mm and weighs 34.6 gm.
