A Tekke Turkoman tribal bangle

This white metal with gold wash Tekke Turkoman tribal bangle from Turmenistan has a superb bright orange 30 x 22 mm oval carnelian bezel set at its centre. The carnelian is surrounded by red and light blue glass beads and the rest of the bangle is decorated with classic Turkoman designs highlighted with the gold wash, the outside edge is decorated with a double wire rope and polished rim border. The bangle tapers down from 48 mm wide at the top to 32 mm at the open back, it weighs 38.8 gm. Allow for only minor flexing when fitting.
